Anthony Scaramucci Posting A Sexually Explicit Tweet In 2009 Is A Digitally Manipulated Image

White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci posting a sexually explicit tweet in 2009 is a digitally manipulated image. There is no truth to an image that Scaramucci, who is deleting certain tweets from his Twitter account, once tweeted out a sexually explicit one.

How did this fake image gain traction on social media? It was being reported by several news outlets that Scaramucci had deleted several old tweets after he was hired by President Donald Trump as the White House’s new communications director. During this time, an image allegedly showing a sexually explicit tweet Scaramucci had posted several years before his recent hiring.

Ten years in and we bone like we’re cheating on each other WITH each other. A decade-plus and her clit-brown-tain-area stil pOwns my dick.

Snopes first reported that the message shown in this fake tweet really did appear on July 9 2009; however, it was not sent by Scaramucci. Instead, the sexually explicit tweet was actually posted by director Kevin Smith, and it is still very much available on his Twitter timeline as seen below.

It is unclear who created the fake image but that person clearly out Smith’s Twitter name and replaced it with that of the new White House communications director.

If you are curious, several news outlets such as the Washington Post, Time, and Deadline have documented the various tweets Scaramucci deleted in July 2017. Scaramucci himself said via Twitter that he was deleting old tweets, many of which criticized Trump.

Scaramucci wrote that he did want his “past views” to serve as a distraction. His tweets have already been repeated, recorded, shared and downloaded all over the internet. So even if Scaramucci deletes them, they still exist. The internet has already had a lot of fun with Scaramucci’s old tweets.

Scaramucci’s appointment set off a domino effect at the White House as press secretary Sean Spicer resigned and Sarah Huckabee Sanders replaced him. Nicknamed “the Mooch”, Scaramucciis a Wall Street financier who also served as a Fox News pundit.

Scaramucci began his career at Goldman Sachs, where he worked from 1989 to 1996 and held positions in its Investment Banking, Equities, and Private Wealth Management divisions. Scaramucci left Goldman in 1996 to launch Oscar Capital Management with his colleague Andrew Boszhardt. In 2005, Scaramucci founded global investment firm SkyBridge Capital, serving as co-managing partner before selling the company in early 2017 to take a role in the Trump administration.

Although the fake tweet may have been embarrassing to Scaramucci if it had been real, it is of a personal nature and therefore would not have conflicted in any way with his position.
